I’m a Yankee carpet-bagger Texas transplant. My wife and I moved here in 2005 after I got out of the Coast Guard. We had never been to Texas before, but it seemed to offer everything we were interested in – warm weather, friendly people, low unemployment, cheap land, big cities, and flourishing space, energy, and education industries. So now we’re here. I’m working in aerospace right now and I enjoy it, but I’ve been fascinated by the energy sector for a long time – I like the idea of producing energy from a renewable resource – especially from home.
My background is in physics. I obtained my degree in 1999 from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
I have two passions – space and energy. One day I hope to combine these two things, but right now, my interest is actually leaning more towards alternative energy companies – especially start-ups. I think it will be a start-up company that invents the product that changes the energy world – maybe it’s been done – maybe its the Bloom Box…maybe not.
I’ve been taking some business courses here and there – accounting, economics, and energy ethics. I’m thinking about an MBA with a focus on alternative energy.
